About me

Soy de Venezuela. After obtaining a university degree in languages, I started an English language school for children in Valencia, Venezuela. It’s there that I first began to build and expand my repertoire of teaching strategies for learning a new language. Little did I know that many years later, I’d return to my native roots and begin teaching Spanish, my first language and mother tongue. And so for now, here’s where our paths potentially cross.

My Method

Each student is different.  Some want to expand their vocabulary or improve their pronunciation, while others want to enhance their conversational skills.  I try to find the right teaching and learning strategies for each student based on their personal goals and objectives.  

My early experiences as a teacher have shown me that teaching is a lifelong learning process.  For example, as new resources and technologies become available, I continuously look for ways to integrate new digital tools and apps into my teaching.   As a result, I have created a set of interactive methods for keeping my students interested, motivated and engaged during our 1:1 sessions.

I’m not going to lie to you – learning a new language can be challenging, and at times, even hard.  But I believe the benefits are worth the challenges.  I also know from my students’ experiences that it can be fun, motivating, inspiring and rewarding.  That’s why I’m committed to ensuring that your learning experience with me is a positive and fulfilling one.  

I LOVE TO TEACH MORE THAN JUST A LANGUAGE. I WANT MY STUDENTS TO EXPLORE AND EXPERIENCE NEW CULTURES, CUISINES, CONNECTIONS AND PLACES!
